Enugu governor Mbah appoints actresses Rachel Okonkwo, Eucharia Anunobi as aides

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has appointed Nollywood actresses Rachel Okonkwo and Eucharia Anunobi as aides in his administration.

The appointments were contained in a public announcement issued on Monday by the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia.

Mbah approved the appointment of 101 aides across three categories, including seven Special Advisers, six Senior Special Assistants and 88 Special Assistants.

Okonkwo, popularly known as Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Film and Creative Industry Development.

The actress, whose full name is Nnenna Rachael Okonkwo, is known for her role in the popular Nkoli Nwa Nsukka film series. She hails from Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State and has built a career in the Nigerian film industry.

Meanwhile, veteran actress Eucharia Anunobi was appointed Special Assistant on Women Mobilisation for the Enugu-North Zone.

Anunobi rose to prominence in Nollywood in the 1990s and has featured in more than 90 films. She later became an evangelist.

The appointments bring the two actresses into the Enugu State Government, with Okonkwo taking on a role focused on the film and creative industry, while Anunobi will oversee women mobilisation in the Enugu-North zone.
